Rapid Recess Kit for Linear Drain at Back Wall
The Bracket Kit for Linear Drain at the Back Wall is used with pre-manufactured or mortar shower pans with a linear drain. One joist bay is recessed 1” below the top of the floor joists to accommodate the depth of the linear drain body. The rest of the shower pan area is recessed 11/16” which is limited by the height of the floor joists. Joist orientation must be considered since the drain body will always be parallel to the joists. Covers 25 square feet or less with the recommended shower pan sizes being 5′ x5′ or 4′ x 6′. Includes metal brackets for lowering plywood floors for a curbless shower.
- Installed from above the joists without the use of a 2×4 frame or compromising the structural integrity of the joists (Rapid Recess doesn’t interfere with plumbing or other obstacles between the joists)
- Used with different, types, widths, and orientation of floor joists (joists parallel or perpendicular to shower entry)
