These composite board side shims are used in conjunction with carpet shims to complete the transition! They are available for all shim styles (with the exception of the 1/4″ products) and can be scored with a carpet knife and snapped to fit any area required. The compound taper finishes the transition, eliminating any need for floating the ends.

These composite board side shims are used with the 3/8″ carpet shims (8″ x 32″ size) to provide a taper to the right and left side of the shim, eliminating the drop off. They complete any transition where carpet shims are installed.
