Schluter-DITRA is a premium tile underlayment membrane engineered for reliable and long-lasting tile and stone installations. Made from durable polyethylene, DITRA features a grid of square, dovetail-shaped cavities and a bonded fleece backing that ensures a strong mechanical bond to the substrate. When embedded in thin-set mortar, DITRA offers four essential functions in one product: it acts as an uncoupling layer to prevent cracks, a waterproofing membrane to protect underlying surfaces, a vapor management layer to handle moisture, and a load-distribution layer to support heavy traffic. DITRA is ideal for use over a variety of subfloor types, including plywood, OSB, concrete, gypsum, and heated floors. Its 1/8″ thickness minimizes overall tile height, making it easier to transition between flooring materials. Whether you’re working on a residential bathroom or a commercial entryway, Schluter-DITRA ensures a smooth, stable, and professional-grade tile installation.
