Schluter®-KERDI is a premium bonded waterproofing and vapor-retardant membrane designed to protect tile installations in wet areas, including showers, bathtub surrounds, and steam rooms. This pliable, sheet-applied membrane features a fleece layer on both sides, ensuring a strong mechanical bond between the substrate and tile adhesive. With its 8-mil thickness and a water vapor permanence rating of 0.90 perms (ASTM E96 Procedure E), KERDI delivers exceptional moisture resistance, making it ideal even for demanding environments like residential steam showers. KERDI simplifies the waterproofing process by allowing direct tile installation without the need for traditional, more time-consuming waterproofing methods.
