When embedded in thin-set mortar, DITRA offers four essential functions in one product: it acts as an uncoupling layer to prevent cracks, a waterproofing membrane to protect underlying surfaces, a vapor management layer to handle moisture, and a load-distribution layer to support heavy traffic. DITRA is ideal for use over a variety of subfloor types, including plywood, OSB, concrete, gypsum, and heated floors. Its 1/8″ thickness minimizes overall tile height, making it easier to transition between flooring materials.
