Schluter Schiene is a special profile that finishes and protects the edges of tiled surfaces. However, it can also be used in conjunction with other covering materials and applications. The integrated joint spacer creates a channel for grouting the tile.
Schluter Schiene-E is roll formed from stainless steel. This process produces a contour that deviates slightly from the extruded brass and aluminum versions. Schluter®-Schiene-E can withstand high levels of mechanical stress, and is especially suited for areas of application where resistance to chemicals and acids is necessary (for example, the food industry, breweries, dairies, large kitchens, swimming pools and hospitals). Schiene metal is sold per 8' piece and comes in numerous heights.
